For my brief i'm thinking of doing 4- website to support teen mental health - 14-18
Thursday 16th June 2022 Research:
L/O: to research codes&conventions of similar products
YOUNGMINDS, STEM 4, MIND
1. They include helpful information, links and advice, support with mental health
2. Images are of adults,children working/walking together ,promoting that the website is aimed at young people
3. colour scheme is bright, bold and has the same pattern for the various websites
4. logo top left, design links to subject as it has bright colours-presenting that everything is ok and good for the websites- official
5. Pages in the menu bar consist of: mental health support,support us,training and resources, about young minds and a shop, get involved, about us , etc
6. Many links; including asking who you are, helplines, guide links etc for most websites
7. 2, possibly, they vary in size and the bigger text s in bold, however there are moe on stem 4 than the others
8/9. The pages are similar as they have the same layout - organised and official, colour palette changing slightly. with the same teenage images and advice/support and info.
10. There was 21 images used on mental health support, and many others used on linked pages, however less are used
11. Same fonts are used with the same style as the homepage, with maybe a few differences on all websites- mainly stem 4 has variation
12. Text is organised differently depending on what page you are on, however some of the the text may be the same format-under images, giving advice and information for stem 4, mind
1.The two websites for this task is: young minds and stem 4- general codes and conventions is that the layout on both are organised and official, designed to be a safe place.Both websites have links and information about teen mental health and how to care for yourself.
2.Differences between the homepage and the linked pages is that the homepage has all the links to the information and the linked pages go in depth with the information that it is linked too.
3. the ideology in both websites is to promote that the website isa safe space and to promote that they can help with teen mental health and support teenagers
4. logo,slogan and colour scheme are all bold bright- yellow white .stem 4 has slogan underneath logo like young mind, colour scheme purple.
5. they use bright bold colours and typography is small block caps( small cursive)(stem 4) and round bold cursive for young minds- both sizes are relatively the same lower case.
6. The target audience are aimed at teens with the helpful, fun and official friendly fonts and text, with the teen images looking fine and with support which helps appeal to them

representation: has a mix of both genders as has targeting both.
audio-visual - video scrolling through website- giving support, information.
designing logo: blocky caps TMHS - bright colour, yellow = positive. small icon to give a nice friendly feel.

L/O: to research our target audience to enable successful targeting
Audience
TMH - they would probably feel sad,in need of help to seek support for their mental health
Hobbies- gaming, flicking through social media , drawing- a wide range as everyone is individual
Anywhere as any teen can live in urban/rural- however their hobbies may differ
Their favourite subjects could be academic/non academic- anything
They could use social media but not post much as they might be anxious to post/ use it to comfort them
Their friends may describe them as quiet,unique- an individual
They might have a particular taste in music / which may comfort them-
The website product will comfort the user, let them know about mental health illnesses which may be affecting them- giving the user advice to help assure them that everything is ok
