L/O: to explore the use of setting and color in films

Setting

1. So the character(s) and the villain (s( normally a killer))would be isolated together, with no help available.

2. so the hero would have to either protect or save the big city from destruction

3. to enhance love, a good city makes us feel good and heartfelt inside. Inside of dark places, a seaside is light and warm which makes us feel fuzzy inside.

4. different locations to make it seem like multiple countries are in danger, a massive war may be happening involving all countries. villain my be controlling countries and hereos have to stop him?

5. a virus might of been leaked out of a science lab and no one can leave in the risk of infecting the population of a deadly virus.

Color

1. blue and red are bold colors, suggesting that a superhero is strong and will never back down 

2. black to connote darkness and mystery. the villain would use this colour to show that they are not a force to be reckoned with it. Black also connotes death and tragedy, in which the villian kills, or does something bad from a loved ones death. 

3. bright colours for a comedy to show that it isn't serious and more funny. bright colours show that its happy.

Percy Jackson setting and color analysis:

1. modern day America
2. to show that the beginning was normal a bit.
3. the setting changes when percy is attacked and goes to camp half blood, then he goes on a quest which goes to lots of different places.
4. the setting affects the characters because it is a harsh environment so they have to live for their life.
5. you could tell where the story was taking place due to the way they said where they were going and what events happened.
6. it could have happened in a different place because its in a farm-like area and a city.
7. you could tell when the story is taking place because of the action, music and serious talkng bits.
8. It is set now because it has some technology but not loads. and it has the modern day monuments.
9. certain colours are used to show the villain as in the underworld ( place of villain) it is very dark.
10. Annabeth's eyes are grey, like her mothers ( Athena)
11. the colours are not that important, but some like the colour blue and green ( to represent poseidon ) are

The first poster looks old as it has black and has old yellow color, which represents the old days, where colour isn't really developed back then.

The second poster looks like a horror film as it has black and red on it. Black connotes darkness, red connotes blood and gory.  Its also set in London as it has the big ben behind them

The last poster looks like an adventure film, as it looks like a jungle, so the characters are probably treasure hunters or raiders as the name suggests. The colour looks old but not too old, so it is probably set in the 80's.

The science film takes place in the sacked scientists lab, which some scientists need to get research. the setting is dark as the lab is abandoned, so glass litters the floor, and some undisturbed creatures are resting, with a deadly virus, with one bite that could infect the world.
