L/O: to develop an effective film marketing strategy

i would release my disaster film in summer because its available for everyone as kids are off school and adults sometimes get of work. Also i would release them before the summer holidays so adults can enjoy it without kids interrupting the film.


1. They decided to advertise Hobbs and Shaw due to the Covid -19 delaying the production
2. It was because it was attached to Indian showings of The joker in October
3.It was released in October, February and December, Tv in May, prologue introduced during Indian screenings of Birds of Prey
4. The tv spot was shown on the Fortnites party Royale mode

Bond: publicity ideas:
i would go onto the news, social media, newspaper,youtube trailers, stunts with CGI.

  • For the new bond film, i would make clothing for merchandise. I would also collaborate with fast food restaurants and put images on the products that is being eaten.
  • Also make limited time watches/ coats etc.
  • Also have big posters in cities and in cinemas to grab peoples attention
  • The brands James Bond collaborated with is Heineken, put on alcohol bottles referencing that their title.

The posters would be in big towns and cities to gain interest and recognition. The trailers would be shown on tv, youtube and cinema's, i would aim for teaser trailer in August, trailer in september and release in October as zombies are scary and October is scary month (halloween)
for publicity i would have zombies roam the street, putting up posters of the movie and go around scaring people, chasing the actors of the film. I would make all actors post teasers and spoilers on their social media to gain interest for viewers to go watch the movie. i would make a scary zombie game about the movie, we could make an actor, zombie or quote on coffee cups , t-shirts, notebooks and pop heads

Have all actors/ directors/producers leak small hints about the film every week. 

Have audience have zombie make up, a competition for the best zombie make up to win a prize
